Wipe Out the Waitlist: October 1 – 31
HVL’s annual campaign to Wipe Out the Waitlist returns this October, and we need your help! Our goal is to place every single case on our waiting list with a pro bono attorney by the end of the October. New Associate Bootcamps (ongoing)
Last year, we launched HVL’s first-ever New Associate Bootcamp, and it was a resounding success! This program allows law firms to integrate pro bono work into their new associates’ practice from day one. The bootcamp begins with training that highlights the invaluable legal skills developed through pro bono work, along with an overview of available HVL cases. We’re here to collaborate with your teams to ensure you have the right information and case opportunities tailored to your needs. CLE: Handling Heirships and Serving as Ad Litem – October 25
Houston Volunteer Lawyers invites you to join our upcoming CLE on handling heirship matters and serving as an ad litem. In this training, you’ll learn how to conduct due diligence in verifying the alleged heirs—combining legal skills with investigative work. Serving as a pro bono ad litem in Probate Court is a meaningful way to give back without the commitment of full representation.
